“Helping Bristol Families access school uniform”
This year we have been delighted to support the Bristol Uniform Exchange (BUE). Located close to BoKlok on the Brook, the Exchange, which is a relatively new initiative, provides a vital service to local families in the Bristol area by helping to alleviate the costs of school uniform. Families can contact the Exchange via its Facebook group and through its various events to access a whole range of uniform items.
In addition to offering families an opportunity to either swap items or request these for free, the Exchange has introduced a Wish List. This allows families to request items, which the Exchange has not been able to source through donations. It is this initiative in particular that at BoKlok we have been proud to support.
What’s more, the BUE have introduced an annual ‘Christmas Jumper Swap Campaign’. This gives children who may otherwise not be able to participate in this widely celebrated day, access to a Christmas jumper, enabling them to share in this event at school with their friends.
